What does the School Formal service cover?

We will provide all sound, music, lighting and announcements. We are familiar and inducted to most formal venues in Canberra for integration.

How long do you need to setup?

We need approximately 2-hours to setup, and 1-hour to packup at the end of the event. Quality and safety should never be rushed.

DD Discos provides professional Canberra School Formal DJ services for high schools, colleges and graduation events across Canberra and the ACT. We cater to Canberra colleges and high schools across Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden, Tuggeranong, Weston Creek and Queanbeyan.

We help make your school formal a fun, safe and exciting night through our proven ability to select great music that keeps everyone entertained. Students can request their favourite songs and we play music that suits many cultures and tastes so everyone feels included. We have a large song library covering all genres including influences from music charts and social media.

The school formal service is primarily handled by DJ Dan whilst his young ladies are still growing, but with that comes more than 26 years’ experience reading crowds, playing a great music and creating memories.

DD Discos offers one of Canberra’s best school formal lighting collections. Our moving head lights, colour washes, mirror balls, uplighting and dance floor effects transform ordinary venues into spectacular formal event spaces.

For lighting, we provide a mixture of synchronised club-like computer controlled moving head lights, programmed by Laura our qualified stage and lighting designer.

Our high-end sound system utilises tour-grade equipment and can rock any dance floor with our whopping 21 inch subwoofer stacks.

From elegant mood lighting to clear sound, our extensive collection and experience helps create the perfect atmosphere, transforming your venue into a visually stunning space that students will remember long after the night ends; This is the edge that DD Discos offers.

For school formals, we welcome the opportunity for student DJs to perform a short set, provided this is approved by the event organiser.
